Should SAT start before mechanical completion?
Normally no. SAT should begin only when the defined system is complete, safe and supported by the required evidence, except where a controlled phased strategy has been approved.
How is SAT different from integrated systems testing?
SAT typically proves an installed system or package. Integrated systems testing demonstrates the interaction of multiple systems under normal, failure and recovery scenarios.
